A surf school also provides lessons, so you can try your hand at this favourite pastime, or you can explore the sand dunes and rock pools, great fun for little adventurers!
The quaint little village itself, some parts dating back to the 17th century, has picture postcard thatched cottages, cafes and tea shops serving delicious Devonshire cream teas, and a number of pubs. Croyde House is within walking distance to the traditional Thatch Inn, being very popular serving good food and the perfect place to relax in. There are also a number of gift shops and a craft centre to explore, numerous surf hire shops and ice cream parlours, selling every flavour ice cream you can think of !
You have a further choice of two other beaches nearby at Saunton Sands and Putsborough and if rambling is your choice of recreation, you can take a walk to Baggy Point on the headland, now looked after by the National Trust and a beautiful unspoilt part of the coastline with spectacular views.

Double doors lead to dining room with wooden floor, oak dining table and gas fireplace conveniently served by contemporary kitchen with Range master electric double ovens, 5 ring gas hob, integrated dishwasher, large American style fridge freezer with water/ice dispenser, washing machine and tumble drier. Access to a utility room leading to outdoor patio area, ideal for sundowners and BBQ.
There is a downstairs guest cloakroom with WC and hand basin.
The master suite with TV is approached separately via the lounge upper gallery and has sliding doors to a balcony overlooking the garden and swimming pool. Enjoy the country views from a king size bed or the en-suite corner bath with shower over. There is a WC and pedestal basin.
Bedroom 2 is a large family room with a double bed and bunk beds in an adjoining section, wardrobes and desk/dressing table.
Bedroom 3 has a double bunk bed (double below, single above) and stunning views.
Bedroom 4 has a double bunk bed (double below, single above) views to the dunes of Croyde beach and sea beyond.
The family bathroom has a modern bath with shower over, WC and basin.
There is an additional shower room without WC.
Outdoors: Very large entertainment play area on three levels, all enclosed for safety of children and pets.

Beyond the swimming pool is a vegetable garden, for you to enjoy the seasonal produce.
If you can be tempted away from Croyde and Croyde Cottage, explore nearby villages: Famed for its weekly farmers' markets, the Victorian town of South Molton (a 10-minute drive) is a delight to browse around, with tearooms, antique and curio shops, as well as wealth of restaurants and pubs in which to seek out refreshment while soaking up the local atmosphere. Also, within easy driving distance, lie the magnificent beaches of the North Devon coastline – Saunton, Woolacombe - whilst pretty seaside villages, such as Lynton and Lynmouth also prove popular with their unique cliff railway, harbour and pebble beaches. From the Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe, boat trips can be made to Lundy Island, and Barnstaple (a 15-minute drive) offers weekly pannier markets, shops, theatre, cinema, leisure centre, tennis, restaurants and pubs. For good days out, the National Trust properties Arlington Court, Knightshayes, Watersmeet and Dunster Castle are all worth visiting, whilst other places of interest include RHS Rosemoor Gardens, and Marwood Gardens, whilst younger family members will delight in the nearby local attractions such as The Big Sheep, Combe Martin Dinosaur and Wildlife Park, Exmoor Zoo and The Milky Way, all of which offer complete days out. Locally, activities to enjoy include fishing, golf, cycling, shooting, country sports and pony trekking, with sailing and wind surfing at nearby Wimbleball Lake.
