Thatch Cottage- is a charming Grade II listed property and offers very pleasant, comfortable and bright accommodation. The cottage, ideally suitable for a small family, is in a tucked away position yet within easy access of Braunton village as well as the popular beaches of Saunton and Croyde.

 

 The cottage is believed to date back to the end of the English Civil War and retains all the character of a quaint cottage including beamed ceilings, elm window sills and inglenook fireplace.

 

This property has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The newly-fitted kitchen has been fitted in the Harrow Swiss Pear design, including a Teka double oven and halogen hob.  Facilities include and under-counter fridge (a full-sized fridge with freezer drawers is also available in the garage), microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster (4-slice), iron and ironing board as well as a washing machine.  

 

The good-sized lounge has sofas seating up to 8 and features an Inglenook fireplace and bread oven. A television with freeview is available with DVD/CD player as well as an iPod docking station. A selection of books and DVD’s is also supplied. A telephone to receive incoming calls has been provided. The stairs to the first floor divide this room to form a dining area with seating for six. This area also provides direct access to the kitchen.

 

Ground floor bedroom is furnished with a double bed, bedside tables and lamps. Upstairs there are a further 2 bedrooms. The Master Bedroom is a calm, spacious and light room, furnished with double bed, bedside table and lamps as well as chest of drawers. Bedroom 3 has a set of bunk beds with additional trundle bed below and chest of drawers.

 

The family bathroom is on the ground floor and is newly fitted with bath and shower-over, WC, chrome heated towel rail and basin.

 

At the rear of the property is a good-sized patio with table and chairs, for an al-fresco breakfast, and raised flower beds, making this an ideal private area. Two feature-built stones with inset mill stones provide further seating as well as access to the rear garden laid to lawn with flower beds and borders, extending to the other side where there are further raised gardens with shrubs, herbs etc.
